Registration Form

We finally got a registration form put together. Please note: I put the wrong amount on the form for the dues. It is only $12 per family, $5 for senior citizens, $6 for students (I accidentally put the old amounts). Here is the link to the form: www.mosesclawson.com. Please print it out and mail it with payment to Julia Oldroyd; 585 Sagewood Ave; Provo, UT 84604.

Children's Parade

For part of our reunion, we are going to have the kids march in the Children's Parade in Provo on Saturday morning. Rodney Clawson has a plethora of "wheeled vehicles" the kids can ride. It should be a lot of fun! Here's the link--

I called the following hotels and motels this morning and these were the rates they gave me for June 27-28 (two nights). South Fork Park

Today I went up to South Fork Park to take these photos. The snow still covers large areas of the park, but you can kind of get an idea of what it looks like. To get there, you head up Provo Canyon (go East on 800 North in Orem or go North on University Ave from Provo). On the way you will pass a few parks and Bridal Veil Falls. When you get to the sign that says Vivian Park/South Fork, you turn right and continue up the road until you get there. There is a parking area in front and then you must walk to the pavilions. There is not a paved trail, but well-kept lawn.

Here is the large pavilion. You can see the shady area behind it and the water tap in front.

This barbecue area is right next to the large pavilion. In the shady area on the asphalt, there is a fire pit which would be fantastic for roasting marshmallows or other tasty tidbits.

There is a horseshoe area on the left. Farther to the left (not in the photo) is an amphitheater area. It is still covered in snow, but will be excellent for a talent show or program.

Plenty of room to play baseball or softball, ultimate frisbee, capture the flag, etc. (You can see the large pavilion in the rear.)

This is the smaller pavilion. We have it on Friday and the large pavilion on Saturday. The small one is closer to the restrooms and the river (about a foot deep).

Beat the summer heat and relax in the cool shade while mountain breezes refresh you. Fish along Provo River, take a day hike in the canyon, play volleyball and other games, watch or march in the Provo Children's Parade, eat terrific food, and socialize with cousins from near and far as we get reacquainted with our family heritage.

Mark your calendars and reserve your place now! RSVP to Julia Oldroyd at ilovejwo@yahoo.com . Check this blog regularly for updates and schedules. We would love your help in making plans, too--just leave your comments here by clicking on "comments" at the bottom of this post.
